Government Education Design Our experience with education in the government sector has been primarily designing schools for families stationed on military bases. Though we’re Fort Wayne architects, we’re capable of working far afield to serve this market. For example, all of the military schools we’ve designed so far have been for the Norfolk District and the Savannah District of the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Over the years, we’ve developed a close relationship with the USACE, not only for military-base school design but also to apply our full range of architectural services to the completion of base headquarters and office buildings. The school work, though, has been our mainstay. What continually helps us gain work in this market is our long experience in the broader field of education architecture. We’ve partnered with civilian educators for years to provide both traditional designs and tech-accommodating 21st century designs for pre-K, K through 12, and higher education. The military, always open to advances in technology where weapons are concerned, has proven equally receptive to bringing new information technology into the classroom – for the benefit of its personnel and their children. Examples of our government design work for schools on military bases may be found in our Government Portfolio.
